Woollen, Molzan and Partners in association with landscape architects Rundell, Ernstberger Associates, designed the White River Gardens Conservatory Complex for the Indianapolis Zoo. White River Gardens is an exhibition and interpretative center focused on Indiana horticulture and the home gardener. The conservatory complex contains permanent outdoor gardens and display areas rotated on a seasonal basis. The conservatory structure houses a display of tropical plants and seasonal flower shows.
White River Gardens is linked to downtown Indianapolis via the Washington Street pedestrian bridge. The bridge also provides access to the Eiteljorg Museum, the NCAA Headquarters and the Indiana State Museum, all components of the White River State Park. Woollen, Molzan and Partners designed the conservatory complex to be the western focal point for the park.
